Terrifier 3 Cast Adds Legendary Horror Icon to Its Bloody Mayhem

Horror fans eagerly awaiting the arrival of Terrifier 3 later this year have been given another reason to be hyped for the latest depraved installment of the successful franchise. As per Bloody Disgusting, the film has enlisted a true icon and pioneer of the horror genre in make-up and special effects artist Tom Savini as part of the film’s cast.

Savini is a name known to every horror fan, both for his remarkable contribution to the creation of practical effects in many movies, and his acting appearances in films such as From Dusk til Dawn. From his work on the original Friday the 13th, when he helped to create Kevin Bacon’s unforgettable death scene among others, Savini has been the go-to name for any filmmaker looking for the best in gore, severed body parts and creature effects. He has also been an inspiration to a whole new generation of industry professionals, such as The Walking Dead’s Greg Nicotero. His addition to the cast of Terrifier 3 is another huge win for the return of Art the Clown.

There has currently been no indication of who Savini will play in the film, or how big his role will be, but for aficionados of the genre, his mere presence in the movie will be enough to take the horrors it has to offer to a new level.

Terrifier 3 is Looking to Deliver the Most Depraved Installment Yet

Terrifier 3 is set to bring the malevolent Art the Clown back to the screen, this time wreaking havoc during the Christmas season. The film will once again see David Howard Thornton donning the minimal but scary-as-hell attire of Art the Clown, while Lauren LaVera, Samantha Scaffidi, and AEW star Chris Jericho all return for more gore-laden violence that is sure to cause plenty of controversy. Additionally, frequent Rob Zombie collaborator Daniel Roebuck joined the cast earlier this year as none other than Santa Claus.

The release of the first trailer for Terrifier 3 has already sparked controversy for making the suggestion that a child will be one of Art’s victims this time around – not for the first time for those who have followed the character since his inception – and reports from the set of the movie even suggested that some scenes were too horrific even for Thornton himself. While the movie’s morals are an issue for some, the franchise has captured the imagination of horror fans in a way that has not been seen for a long time.
