From blockbuster stars to fan-favorite TV actors, the Silo cast is filled with great performers that are recognizable from other projects. Based on the Silo books by Hugh Howey, the Apple TV+ series takes place in a distant dystopian future and revolves around a community living deep underground under the enforcement of strict rules that they’re told have been put in place to protect them. As the story unfolds, an engineer and a sheriff attempt to uncover the dark truth about their underground existence. The series was developed for television by Graham Yost of the Justified fame.

As promised by the trailer for Silo, the show’s star-studded ensemble includes familiar actors from other television series and from high-profile movies. The main cast members can be spotted in the films Dune, The Social Network, and The Shawshank Redemption, while the supporting players can be seen in the shows Game of Thrones, Succession, and The Walking Dead. With a star from Parks and Recreation, a major player from the Mission: Impossible franchise, and the actor who played Martin Luther King Jr. on the big screen, Silo is full of familiar faces.

Rebecca Ferguson As Juliette

Date Of Birth: October 19, 1983

Actor: Ferguson got her start with the role of Anna Gripenhielm in the Swedish soap opera Nya Tider. She then gained international attention with her turn as Elizabeth Woodville in the limited series The White Queen, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe. Ferguson has since gone on to play MI6 agent Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible movies, Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman, Rose the Hat in Doctor Sleep, and Lady Jessica in both halves of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune.

Actor: The actor is best known for playing Martin Luther King Jr. in the historically accurate biopic Selma. His other TV roles include Javert in the BBC miniseries adaptation of Les Misérables and MI5 officer Danny Hunter in the spy drama series Spooks. In his long acting career, Oyelowo has received a Critics Choice Award and two NAACP Image Awards.

Character: Holston is a sheriff in Silo who struggles to maintain order in the underground community. Actor: As a rapper, Common debuted with the album Can I Borrow a Dollar? and gained further recognition with his follow-up, Resurrection. He made his big-screen acting debut with the role of mob enforcer Sir Ivy in Smokin’ Aces. Common went on to play roles like the underrated villain Cassian in John Wick: Chapter 2, Turner Lucas in American Gangster, and John Connor’s lieutenant, Barnes, in Terminator Salvation. Character: Sims is Bernard’s right-hand man in Silo, who even crosses many moral boundaries to ensure order is maintained in the underground bunker. Since Juliette defies Bernard’s orders and attempts to seek the truth, Sims does his best to catch her before it is too late. However, towards the end of Silo season 1, he starts questioning whether his loyalty towards Bernard was worth it.

Character: In Silo season 1, Tim Robbin’s Bernard is the primary antagonist who is initially portrayed as the IT head. Avi Nash as Lukas Kyle – I.T. worker Lukas Kyle is played by Avi Nash. Nash is most famous for his recurring role as Siddiq in The Walking Dead. He also played Wajeed in Silicon Valley and Saleem in Netflix’s Barack Obama biopic, Barry.


Chinaza Uche as Paul Billings – Chinaza Uche appears in the Silo cast as Paul Billings, who works in the silo’s judicial department. Uche is best known for playing Henry, the family’s hired hand, in Dickinson. He also played Derek in Fear the Walking Dead, Tom Hardekopf in The Blacklist, and Nathan in the Zach Braff drama movie A Good Person.

Shane McRae as Knox – A mechanic character in Silo. McRae is best known for playing the main role of Taylor Bowman in Sneaky Pete, as well as the recurring roles of Robert in The Following and Patrick in Nashville. Henry Garrett as Douglas Trumbull – Henry Garrett plays Douglas Trumbull in the Silo cast. Garrett also played Hart in Red Tails, George Catlin in Testament of Youth, and the recurring roles of Pete McCullough in The Son and Captain Malcolm McNeil in Poldark.
