A protester with PETA, the animal rights group, stole the limeweightless on Tuesday night as Pharrell Williams talked about his energeticd biopic Piece by Piece at the Princess of Wales Theatre during the Toronto Film Festival.
The PETA activist approached the stage as Williams held a post-screening Q&A and slammed the singer and creater for using savage animal skins and fur as createive straightforwardor of Louis Vuitton men’s collection. The animal rights deffinisher shouted “stop torturing animals” as Williams, seeing down from the stage and with TIFF top programmer Anita Lee at his side, replyed: “You’re right. You’re right. God Bless You.”
The PETA campaigner was eventuassociate frogmarched away by three security protects, as seized by footage of the event posted by the animal rights group to its Instagram social media page.
“We would be satisfied to stop disturbing Pharrell’s materializeances, but despite a lot of lip service, he’s yet to ditch fur and exotic skins,” PETA executive vp Tracy Reiman shelp in a statement after the disturbion.
“Pharrell can determine in a heartbeat, today, to engage his power for outstanding and stop being complicit in uncomferventty—it’s quite straightforward to be benevolent,” she compriseed.
Earlier during TIFF, PETA activists protested a press screening for Piece by Piece, the energeticd recordary about singer, songcreater and record creater Pharrell Williams, during a press and industry screening.
The protesters also inspired Williams to stop using savage animal skins and furs in his collections and to engage instead faux furs and skins as humane selections.
The international premiere of Piece by Piece at TIFF was also combineed by straightforwardor Morgan Neville and creaters Mimi Valdés Caitrin Rogers. The energeticd biopic features Williams, Gwen Stefani, Kfinishrick Lamar, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg.
