Now Gemini can play YouTube Music for you when asked.
It’s the return of a basic feature Gemini frustratingly left out when it replaced Google Assistant on Android.
You can activate the feature on the Gemini extensions page — and then Gemini can play songs in the background on Android through your prompts (and on iOS, it redirects you to the YouTube Music app). There are more extensions coming, too, including Google Keep, Calendar, and Tasks.
