Ukrainian tennis joiner Lyudmyla Kichenok didn’t get the ring, but she did get the unfragmentaryytale finishing.
Kichenok and her women’s doubles partner, Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia, were crowned U.S. Open champions after they fall shortureed Kristina Mladenovic and Zhang Shuai in straight sets on Friday.

The duo didn’t drop a one set the entire tournament, but Kichenok did have to drop one pretty vital nominatement earlier this week.

Kichenok and Ostapenko took a 4-1 guide in the first set before Mladenovic and Zhang rallied back to tie it at 4-all. Kichenok and Ostapenko would hang on to get the first 6-2, before dropping two games to uncover the second set.
The duo climbed back to prosper the title 6-4, 6-3.

Kichenok was able to honor with a little champagne after the suit. American tennis joiner Jessica Pegula, who is competing in the women’s ones final on Saturday, sent a bottle and a heartfelt remark to Kichenok, which she scatterd on her Instagram stories.
“I saw you were presumed to get paired Wednesday,” the remark read. “Congrats on a fantastic tournament and finishelight your wedding!”
