    The Boys
, with Padalecki potentially joining as well.

Ever since Supernatural bid farewell to viewers back in 2020, devoted fans of the series have been yearning for its stars, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, to reunite as the monster-hunting siblings, Sam and Dean Winchester. The wildly popular series ran for 15 seasons and cultivated a loyal fan following that so many other shows rarely acquire. After the finale, Padalecki went on to star in CW’s Walker, while Ackles made his way to the now-canceled Big Sky on ABC and also made an appearance on Season 3 of Prime Video’s The Boys. Despite having gone their separate ways professionally, Padalecki and Ackles remain close friends and have continued to see one another since Supernatural ended. As such, fans want to see them on the small screen once more.

While the pair have yet to officially reunite as the Winchesters brothers, rumors of the pair’s inevitable reunion have never ceased, especially when both actors have made no attempts to quell the rumors. In fact, they fan the flames and continue to suggest the revival is simply a matter of scheduling. Given how the entire cast and crew of Supernatural managed to sustain the kind of relationships so many shows only dream of, it’s only a matter of time before viewers see the Winchester brothers cruising across the country in their beloved Chevy Impala once more. Until then, Padalecki should most certainly reunite with his Supernatural co-stars in a completely different franchise, specifically The Boys, which has plenty of ties to his most well-known role.

For avid fans of Supernatural, the name Eric Kripke means a lot. He created the beloved series and served as its showrunner for the first five seasons before stepping back from such an active role for the rest of the show’s tenure. He also developed Prime Video’s comic book adaptation The Boys, which is set to air its fourth season this summer in June, and currently serves as its showrunner. Kripke’s previous endeavors ran on network television, meaning he was fairly limited in the kind of content he could make. Despite Supernatural being a horror series, the show was ultimately rather tame when portraying aspects of the horror genre. Plus, coarse language was strictly barred from the series, given its home was on the CW network.

10 Actors Who Were on Supernatural Before They Became Famous

Supernatural featured many characters played by many actors during its 15-season run. Many of these actors are world-famous now.

However, with his development of The Boys, Kripke has been able to include storylines, situations, and language he was never able to while on network television. With next to nothing out of the question, The Boys is undeniably a series that isn’t for everyone. That being said, it’s most definitely a show Supernatural fans can love simply because of the connections it has to Kripke and a slew of other actors they love seeing beyond the confines of CW’s longest-running series. Given the kind of environment Supernatural cultivated during its production, it’s no wonder so many recognizable faces have made their way to the comic book adaptation.

Thanks to Kripke, many actors from Supernatural have made their way to The Boys. In the show’s most recent third season, Ackles, best known as Dean Winchester, portrayed Soldier Boy. The original premier superhero in the universe of The Boys, Soldier Boy was believed dead for decades. However, he reappears after it’s discovered he was betrayed by his team and captured by the Soviets in the ’80s. Another Supernatural alum, Jim Beaver, has been part of The Boys since it began as the Secretary of Defense named Robert Singer. Clearly a nod to his role in Supernatural, Beaver portrayed the de facto father of the Winchester brothers, whose name was also Bobby Singer.

Along with the heavy hitters of Supernatural, there are a slew of actors from the CW series who’ve also made their way to The Boys, including Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir, Christian Keyes, who plays Nathan, A-Train’s (Jessie T. Usher) older brother, Lesley Nicol who plays Billy’s (Karl Urban) mother, Connie, and Alvina August who plays M. M.’s (Laz Alonso) ex-wife Monique. Finally, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who portrayed the original patriarch of Supernatural, John Winchester, is slated to appear in The Boys during the show’s forthcoming season. It’s still unclear what the specifics of his role will be, but the first images of the trailer reveal he’s on friendly terms with Billy Butcher.

Padalecki Would Appear in The Boys Under One Condition

Ever since Ackles’ extensive role in The Boys, calls for Padalecki’s appearance have only grown. Kripke has made it known he would love to have Padalecki on the series, and fans are undoubtedly waiting for such a situation to come to fruition. Thankfully, the actor isn’t opposed to the idea.

However, he has comically stated he’ll only appear on the show under one very specific condition: they give him a heads-up. He wants plenty of time to get back into shape because he knows Kripke will likely put him in a situation where his shirt will be off, no matter what his role in The Boys may be. With enough time, Padalecki would be more than happy to join The Boys as so many other Supernatural alums have. The first three seasons of The Boys are currently streaming on Prime Video, and its fourth season is set to premiere on the streaming platform beginning June 13, 2024. All episodes of Supernatural are currently streaming on Netflix.
