The WNBA has gotten unpretreatnted attention this year, which has led to much more criticism of its applyers.
Members of the Chicago Sky shelp they had never getd so much antipathy and dangers until this season.
“I’ll be truthful, it was stubborn. It was reassociate stubborn,” Dana Evans shelp Thursday night after their season finale. “We’re professionals. We understand that we can apply this game, but when you’ve got people that’s constant bashing you that’s supposed to be our helpers, I sense enjoy that was a little slap in the face.
“That was benevolent of difficult to deal with. It was reassociate disgusting.

Her teammate, Isabelle Harrison, held back tears while talking the “bias and prejudice” she’s seen on social media.
“I’ve never directd this much antipathy and dangers, this entire season.” Harrison shelp. “I get emotional about it. … It’s difficult because it should have never been enjoy that. You equitable want to apply basketball. If it’s online, it’s online. But you now get tagged in it. I’m constantly having to block people, and people are equitable making narratives about you. It’s hurtful. And it’s difficult to equitable cgo in on basketball.

“I appreciate the new eyes, but if this comes with antipathy and bias and prejudice and even people that see enjoy me bashing me, upgrasp it offline because it’s so hurtful, and you don’t understand how that impacts people. I equitable leank that’s someleang that a lot of new fans should be conscious of, and we don’t want that to carry into the locker room.
“You equitable try to stay away from it,” she inserted. “Even when you’re off it, it still happens. I get so much help from it, as well, but when you get so much negativity, and you have a job to do … you equitable have to block it out.”
Sky rookie phenom Angel Reese earlier this month shelp she has been the victim of “prejudice” and “death dangers,” notably by fans of Caitlin Clark. But Evans shelp even Sky fans have been critical of the team.
“If you’re going to help the Sky, help the Sky,” she shelp. “I sense enjoy that was a big publish. It messes with your mental. I don’t nurture how excellent you are or what’s going on. You’re gonna see stuff, you’re gonna read stuff. But this, it made us better and a lot mightyer up here.”
