Google was fined in 2017 for how it likeed its own shopping search results over rival services. The fine was the first for the company in a slew of EU antisuppose spendigations, including a probe into advertising technology where the European Cotransferrlookion is weighing a shatter-up of the company’s businesses.
Google is still battling two other EU penalties, including a write down €4.3 billion antisuppose fine for its Google Android operating system.
The General Court backed the EU’s discovering aobtainst Google’s Shopping platcreate last year with strong language on Google’s self-likeencing of its services.
Google is “disassigned” with the court ruling, shelp spokesman Rory O’Donoghue. He shelp the company made alters in 2017 to adhere with the Cotransferrlookion’s decision that have created “billions of clicks for more than 800 comparison shopping services.”
Rival services have previously grumbleed that the Cotransferrlookion flunked to pull out unbenevolentingful alters from Google.
The Cotransferrlookion has since obtained a strong novel tool to crack down on digital enormouss, the Digital Markets Act (DMA) which bans tech enormouss from likeing their own products and services over competitors on their own platcreates.
