Why Sausage Party Is a Surprisingly Insightful Adult Movie About Organized Religion

While it’s a raunchy, R-rated movie certainly not suited for 12-year-olds, Sausage Party is nonetheless very smart in analyzing organized religion.

However, not everything unfolds as they might have hoped. When a thunderstorm causes a massive flood and destroys their once-prized land, the group is pushed back to square one. Without many options, Frank and his friends are forced to partner with humans to ensure the survival of their own race. Given their lack of understanding of how anything works, their efforts to procure a human for their own selfish purposes ultimately result in the same level of raunchy humor that was originally littered throughout the film. Sausage Party: Foodtopia is streaming on Prime Video on July 11.
