Furthermore, fans have responded well to the preceding films, with X scoring 94% with critics and 76% with audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and Pearl attaining 92% and 83%.

MaXXXine, the third installment in the X film series, appears to be equally intriguing, with Mia Goth reprising her role as Maxine. The film is set in the 1980s and follows Maxine Minx, an adult film star who aspires to become an actress. However, just as her big break is about to happen, a mysterious killer known as the Night Stalker terrorizes her. MaXXXine will be released in theaters on July 5, 2024.

Alex (Rupert Lazarus) and Tatiana (Eleanor Williams) are a happy couple who adore their relationship but never imagined it ending so quickly.

When Tatiana is abducted by mysterious forces with a blinding light, Alex seeks the help of his friends and various conspiracy theorists, journeying into the desert in search of clues about her abduction. However, the crew faces unanticipated hurdles, reducing their odds of survival to near zero. The film also stars Eric Roberts, Emily Hall, Andrea Tivadar, and Sidney Nicole Rogers. Lumina will be released theatrically on July 12, 2024.

“I was coming at it from, what exactly was it that drove my mother insane? It was a deeply personal kind of performance for me because I grew up trying to cope with what she was going through. She would talk in terms that were a kind of poetry. I didn’t know how else to describe it. I tried to put that in the Longlegs character because he’s really a tragic entity. He’s at the mercy of those voices that are talking to him and getting him to do these things.”
