    Star Wars
, eager to return in any capacity after playing Lieutenant Connix.

    Star Wars
amplifies her desire to continue being involved in the universe.
  • Aside from

Billie Lourd, self-proclaimed Star Wars fangirl and daughter of Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher, says she’d love to return to a galaxy far, far away. Lourd joined the iconic sci-fi franchise for 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, portraying Lieutenant Kaydel Ko Connix; she reprized the role for 2017’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. But Lourd loves the franchise so much, she’d jump at any chance to be involved again in “any way possible.”

During a recent conversation with ComicBook.com, Lourd shared:

“Bring back Connix! I would love to bring back Connix. I would love to be involved in the universe in any way possible. I love being an ambassador. I wrote an essay, ‘The Keeper of Leia,’ and I love playing that role. I’m also obsessed, I’m a fangirl. I would do anything. I’ll be a creature, I’ll do whatever, run a droid and do the controls from behind the scenes. Anything I can do to be involved in this universe, I would do, because I just adore it so much.”

Lourd spoke to the publication while promoting Your Side of the Fourth, her recent partnership with eBay that features a curated selection of rare Star Wars collectibles. Lourd is a collector herself (during Fisher’s posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, she shared that she “buys every single piece of Leia merch” she comes across), and calls this project “the most incredible gig.”

Your Side of the Fourth
includes Light Side Collection and Dark Side Collection, and auctions close on – you guessed it – May 4, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Lourd’s connection to the Star Wars franchise is not just professional, but deeply personal. She worked alongside her mother in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Fisher, who portrayed the iconic Princess Leia Organa since 1977, passed away on December 27, 2016, before filming for The Last Jedi. Filmmakers honored her legacy by using unused footage from the previous film to portray her iconic character in the sequel. They also utilized digital technology to insert Fisher’s likeness into some scenes, even replacing stand-ins (including Lourd) with her image. Fisher’s final appearance in the franchise was with 2019’s Rise of Skywalker, through previously unreleased footage.

Kerry Condon dishes on the tone of the Disney+ series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and she calls the show “really adventurous,” too.

Fresh off American Horror Story: Delicate, Lourd has several projects lined up before she (perhaps) returns to a galaxy far, far away. During CinemaCon this April, Paramount announced that Lourd, Rihanna, Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, Jp Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh, Alex Winter, Xolo Maridueña, Kurt Russell and John Goodman would lead the upcoming animated Smurfs movie. Set to hit theaters on February 14, 2025, the feature is co-directed by Chris Miller and Matt Landon, with Rihanna penning original songs.

Lourd will also appear in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl alongside Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, and Kiernan Shipka. The drama follows a seasoned showgirl (played by Anderson) who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run.
