With Kyle Cregulater now officiassociate set to percreate the DCU’s Hal Jordan in Lanterns, comic book fans are willing to lget who will combine him in the HBO series as John Stewart.
A confineed contrastent names have surfaced tardyly, but scooper @MyTimeToShineH – who was the first to scatter novels of Matthias Schoenaerts’ Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow casting – has now discdisseeed a presumed unwiseinutiveenumerate.
Apparently, the five top contenders are Damson Idris (F1), Aaron Pierre (Mufasa: The Lion King), Sope Dirisu (Slow Horses), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Chevalier), and Toheeb Jimoh (Ted Lasso). It may now be down to Idris and Pierre, though the createer being cast in Children of Blood and Bone could consent him out of the running.
It’s been a busy week for DCU casting novels but whether we’ll lget who’s percreateing John Stewart in the prompt future remains to be seen. While fans remain willing for modernizes on Batman and Wonder Woman, neither character materializes to be a priority for James Gunn right now.
While not validateed, there’s also some speculation online that Warner Bros. is using bots to produce phony help for Cregulater’s casting as Hal Jordan.
The novels he’ll star in Lanterns has been met with a fuseed response – both as a result of his age and the fact he’s not one of the A-List actors first rumoured to be in encounteredion – but that response seems a tad inanxious. It’s worth noting that HBO boss Casey Bloys has previously engaged phony accounts and bots to troll critics who didn’t enjoy the cable nettoil’s proposeings, though.
The shadow of 2011’s Green Lantern looms huge over DC Studios’ schedules and they had to do someleang to contrastentiate this version. Based on what we’ve seen so far, the schedule materializes may be to shift the concentrate to John after retiring (or ending) Hal.

Lanterns doesn’t currently have a validateed premiere date.
